Comfort Agara, CHMM, HEM

Ms. Comfort Agara is an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional, Ms. Agara specializes in environmental compliance, hazardous waste program development and management, training, and workplace safety. She brings a wealth of knowledge in DOT, EPA, RCRA, and Federal, State, and local regulations, and her expertise is leveraged across both public and private sectors. She excels at closing operational gaps and creating efficiencies in workflows, serving as a key contributor to major agency stakeholders.

Ms. Agara is deeply committed to fostering inclusivity and diversity of voice. She is hands-on with teams, believes in collaborative leadership, and consistently brings innovative ideas, strategic initiatives, and unique approaches to the table. 

Statement of Interest: 

I would like to continue serving in a leadership role at AHMP because I deeply believe in the organization's mission to advance the profession of hazardous materials management and support the growth and development of its members. AHMP has immense untapped potential, and effective leadership is crucial to realizing this. I am committed to contributing innovative ideas, strategic initiatives, and fresh approaches that will elevate AHMP's influence within the environmental sector.

Through my participatory leadership, AHMP can become a recognized name across the industry, with its desk reference materials integrated into university curricula, enhanced membership engagement through creative networking opportunities, and a successful soft launch of a mentorship program. I have already shown the ability to deliver from inception through execution. Additionally, we will better leverage our Distinguished Lecturers as intended and attract the media attention that the organization deserves. I am prepared to bring in corporate sponsors aligned with environmental objectives, further solidifying AHMP’s presence and impact. I plan to implement trackable metrics that will support us staying on task with our agreeable goals. Additionally, I'd support AHMP in reviving it's membership committee, creating a scholarship program that continues to give back and elevating it's brand through strategic partnerships.


Jan Marnicki, CHMM

Jan Marnicki, CHMM, is a seasoned professional with over 17 years of experience in EH&S compliance, project management, and consulting. Currently serving as a Managing Environmental Scientist at Barton & Loguidice, Jan coordinates and oversees environmental projects in Connecticut, including landfill monitoring, industrial stormwater compliance, and Phase I Environmental Site. With a detail-oriented and collaborative approach, she manages budgets and invoicing for clients, contributes to departmental planning, and mentors field staff, all while maintaining a strong commitment to safety as an active member of the Safety Committee. Before joining Barton & Loguidice, Jan held positions at Green Environmental Consulting and Arcadis where her focus on project coordination, financial management, and client relations played a key role in managing a wide variety of EH&S compliance projects across the U.S.

In addition to her corporate experience, Jan is the owner of a private massage therapy practice dedicated to helping clients manage stress, anxiety, and pain. Jan holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science from the University of New Haven and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the College of Charleston. She is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager and the Vice President of the Connecticut Chapter of the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals. In her free time, Jan enjoys mountain biking, hiking, weight lifting, traveling, vegan cooking, and volunteering weekly at CT Foodshare.

Statement of Interest: 

I believe that taking on a leadership role as Director-at-Large will allow me to contribute meaningfully to AHMP’s growth and impact. Throughout my career, I have gained valuable leadership experience, including my role as a Project Manager at both Arcadis and Barton &
Loguidice and as Vice President of the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals Connecticut Chapter. These roles have honed my ability to manage projects, budgets, and teams effectively. In this position, I envision fostering collaboration and providing direction to support AHMP’s goals. I’m committed to helping execute initiatives that benefit our community and contribute to the professional growth of our members.


Dave Rice, CHMM

Dave has more than twenty years of experience in environmental, health and safety (EHS) consulting, management, and oversight. In January 2021, he founded Rubicon EHS to explore new opportunities working with like-minded business owners to meet and achieve their EHS obligations and goals. Dave has spent much of the past nineteen years providing environmental, health and safety regulatory compliance consulting services to a variety of clients in the automotive, chemical, commercial lubricants, energy storage, food and beverage, manufacturing, refrigerant gas, and warehousing industries. He has significant experience in EHS reporting, auditing, training, and program development; hazardous material management; EHS and ISO 14001 management systems; US OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and, US EPA Risk Management Plan (RMP) development and implementation. Early in his career he worked primarily as an environmental due diligence and remediation consultant overseeing and performing facility decontamination and closure activities; subsurface investigations; Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments; and groundwater remediation system operations and maintenance. Dave frequently is asked to present on a variety of EHS topics including but not limited to regulatory compliance, sustainability, waste management, and industrial safety. Dave has presented at the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals (AHMP) National Conference; Ohio Craft Brewers Association Annual Conference; Ohio Safety Congress; Industrial Lubricants Manufacture's Association (ILMA) Global Harmonization Seminar; multiple Ohio County Safety Councils; the Black Swamp Safety Council’s Safety and Health Day; and was interviewed as part of an article which appeared in the August 2012 edition of Distributor Focus (Penton MSC).

Statement of Interest:

I am submitting my name for the At-Large Director position because I believe that my experience and perspective can significantly contribute to the growth and success of AHMP. I founded my business, Rubicon EHS, on the principles of rationality and objectivity, and I am confident that these principles will be valuable in the role of At-Large Director. Having observed the challenges AHMP has faced over the past few years, I am eager to contribute to the organization’s next phase of evolution.

In this role, I am committed to taking an active role within AHMP, leveraging my expertise to address these challenges and capitalize on new opportunities. I am also enthusiastic about the networking opportunities this position offers, as it will enable me to build valuable relationships with fellow professionals across the industry. These connections will not only facilitate professional growth and development for myself but will also enhance my ability to contribute effectively to AHMP's objectives.

Furthermore, the At-Large Director position will provide me with opportunities to work with and learn from a diverse group of talented individuals. Collaborating with other board members and AHMP stakeholders will allow me to exchange ideas, gain new insights, and  develop innovative solutions to the challenges we face. This collaborative environment will not only help me grow as a leader but also ensure that we continue to advance AHMP’s mission and vision together.


Vincent Ricevuto, PE, CHMM, CSP, REM, CIPS

With a career spanning over 30 years, Mr. Ricevuto has held significant leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President, USPS Client Manager, and District Manager for Federal Programs at WSP USA Solutions Inc. (WSP), a company renowned for its workforce of approximately 70,000 individuals. His journey began with The Louis Berger Group, Inc. (Louis Berger) in October 2002, preceding its acquisition by WSP in December 2018.

During his tenure of nearly two decades with Louis Berger/WSP, Mr. Ricevuto played a pivotal role in transforming the USPS program from several regional contracts into a national powerhouse, comprising over 20 diverse contracts. These contracts, spanning emergency response, architectural and engineering, commissioning, environmental, and program management, collectively generated over $30 million annually and were supported by a substantial national staff. Additionally, he pioneered the emergency services business line at Louis Berger/WSP, establishing it as a separate operation while securing state and federal emergency support contracts.

Mr. Ricevuto’s impressive academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, while working to finish a master’s in environmental engineering from Penn State University, and an MBA from West Chester University. He is professionally certified in engineering (PE) across multiple states and territories, and he holds certifications as a Board-Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Infrastructure Preparedness Specialist (CIPS), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), and Registered Environmental Manager (REM).

As a leader, Mr. Ricevuto inspires his teams to achieve exceptional results by articulating a clear vision and providing support to overcome project hurdles. He fosters mentorship to ensure exceptional performance, driving his teams towards success. Mr. Ricevuto cultivates a culture of accountability and collaboration, deeply caring for the organizations he serves and the individuals within them, embodying leadership through example.

Statement of Interest:

I am interested in this position to support AHMP in a leadership role to offer my experiences and background to enhance the mission of this organization. I have been associated with this organization for some time and have not had the opportunity to offer my talents, my time or other means to help the organization meet their goals. I feel that my diverse background, management experience and experience in dealing with people at various levels will align effectively with the needs of the organization in a way that will offer positive engagement and support.
